Jillian Burke scans with interest a newspaper article about a boy rescued by his father from kidnappers—then the impact of the names hit her. The infant she thought dead is alive and now this man’s son! Determined to claim the child "stolen" from her through deception and lies fourteen years earlier, she heads toward San Antonio to get young Christian back in her life.

Grayson Del Rio is not in the mood for an unscrupulous con-artist claiming to be his son’s mother. It’s absurd! No way could his ex-wife have pulled off such a scam, that would mean that Chris is not his child. He discovers that the beautiful widow has more gall than Texas has highways.

Rosalyn Alsobrook, Bestselling Author and recipient of the 1999 RWA Lifetime Achievement Award
After reading a newspaper story about the daring rescue by Thomas Grayson Del Rio of his thirteen year old nearly-kidnapped son, Christian, the twenty-nine year old Jillian Burke is left feeling angry and confused. Clearly, Christian Del Rio, the rescued son on page one could be no other than her own son, a child she'd thought long dead. With no thought other than to take back the son who was stolen from her through lies and deceit, she takes off for San Antonio eager to confront Nancee Del Rio and locate the child whose supposed death had left a void in her life for too long.

Meanwhile, life returns to normal for Gray and his son, who is being raised without a mother because the woman Gray believes gave birth to his son was never cut out to be a mother. Or his wife. It was just as well Nancee left them when she did. Although it has never been easy being a single parent, Gray holds no regrets. He loves his son with a fierceness and vulnerability that causes him to be both combative and fearful of the beautiful woman who appears at his house claiming to be his son's true mother while indicating Gray was not the father at all. Thinking her a con-artist after his family fortune, he doesn't easily accept that there is about to be a very real and very emotional battle for legal rights. As the accusations fly, so do the sparks--and the undeniable attraction each has for the other grows ever stronger, but so does the deep need each has to be rid of the other.

Soon, Jillian and Gray discover they have more in common than having both been manipulated by the same unscrupulous person, and both having a claim to the same child. But is the attraction and the parental need these two share enough to overcome the fear and the vulnerabilities they face?

Catherine Sellers snares the reader from page one as she weaves an engrossing tale from strands of unexpected love, heartbreak and hope.

What Readers Are Saying

"Nobody gets to the heart of human emotion, frailty and courage like Catherine Sellers, and SUDDENLY LOVE showcases her talent beautifully." Lisbeth Chance, AKA Leigh Daniels, author of CUTTING EDGE; B AJA RUN; ON THE RUN; THE BASQUE SWALLOW

"Catherine Sellers has the amazing ability to weave a realistic story in which no one can help but care about her characters. The men are men and the women are women. When she brings the two together, it's explosive. SUDDENLY LOVE is no exception." Becky Blanchard, aka Rebecca Blanchard, author of NO EASY WAY OUT; A TEAR MUST FALL; TAKEN

"Catherine Sellers does it again! SUDDENLY LOVE is a compelling, suspenseful story! Wonderful characters. I found Gray and Jillian's story gripping and intriguing. Once I started reading, I couldn't stop!" Susanne Marie Knight, Author of LORD DARVER'S MATCH

"Once again Catherine Sellers creates characters you grow to know, love and identify with immediately. But SUDDENLY LOVE is not your typical romance novel. You have a recently widowed woman learning that the baby who was stolen from her at birth, then reported dead many years ago, is alive and living just a few hundred miles from her. Then you meet the child's adoptive father who has no idea Christian isn't his biological son. Ms. Sellers does an admirable job guiding the reader through emotion after emotion as Jillian Burke and Grayson Del Rio struggle with the many issues that will decide who has the most legitimate claim to their son. Having read Ms. Sellers' other titles, I wasn't surprised that she was able to bring this heart-rending dilemma to a satisfactory conclusion. I highly recommend this wonderful read!" J. Sue Clay

"In SUDDENLY LOVE, Catherine Sellers brings us a paternity struggle with an unexpected twist that gets all the characters rethinking the past, evaluating their actions, and steadying themselves for the changes that a new future surely will bring. It's a story that moves us along the hardships and struggles of a unique family situation, and shows us how, with a little love and cooperation thrown into the mix, everyone involved is capable of finding their own silver lining." Catherine Sellers
Affectionately known as (AKA) "K" to family, friends and peers, Catherine Sellers was born in West Texas, but as the oldest daughter of an oil field roughneck, she never stayed in one place long—especially after her parents divorced when she was six. She laughingly explains that with her father living in West Texas and her mother moving home to deep East Texas, she was "raised on Highway 80 between Odessa and Henderson long before there was an Interstate 20."

At age 15, she met her future husband Bill at a high school football game and knew in her very inexperienced heart that he was her soul mate. One son, one daughter, and two grandchildren later he still is her ideal of the all-American hero. Living in rural Berryville in East Texas, they continue to rely on the love, support and devotion that has seen them through their share of good times and bad.

"K" has worked in several fields over the years—telephone operator, office clerical, insurance agent, tax consultant’s assistant, and presently as a secretary—but it wasn’t until 1983 that she realized how much she wanted to write. She began by free-lancing as the editor of the newsletter for the Better Business Bureau of Southeast Texas. During that time, she continued to study the craft of writing and attended writers’ conference after writers’ conference. She sold her first romance novel in 1989 just days after the Golden Triangle Writers Guild Conference in Beaumont, Texas. With three published novels to her credit, she put her writing on hold to help her husband and son start their construction company. She is excited and eager to continue her writing career with LionHearted Publishing, Inc.

She defines writing as "a little talent and a lot of hard work combined with massive doses of frustration and self-doubt, especially when things don’t go 'write'." She loves it when a reader writes to say how much one of her stories touched her. That's when all the work, frustration and self-doubt don't seem so overpowering.

"Corresponding with readers is a pleasure," she says. Readers may write to her at P.O. Box 4597, Tyler, TX 75712; e-mail her at sellers1965@hotmail.com, or visit her personal web page at www.angelfire.com/tx5/catherinesellers.
